V0.1.4

Current extension release

ProvSeal 0.1.4 — new name and product updates

This extension was previously called C2PA Signer. It is now ProvSeal, because “C2PA” is a trademark of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA™). ProvSeal continues to use the C2PA standard for Content Credentials — only the product name changes.

  • New ProvSeal name and logo

Updated branding across the extension to ProvSeal while keeping the same C2PA Content Credentials workflows.

  • About screen

Version number and release notes are available from the About screen.

  • Adobe TrustMark watermark detection

Local detection of invisible Adobe TrustMark watermarks, in addition to C2PA verification. This is not cryptographic proof.

  • Improved Firefox file selection

Smoother file-pick flow under Firefox when choosing media from the extension.

  • Trust and packaging updates

Fixes and updates for trust lists and packaging.

V0.1.3

Previous extension release

Firefox support and local PDF signing

0.1.3 — Firefox build submitted for Mozilla review, local PDF signing, improved file pick & downloads on Firefox, updated trust lists.

  • Firefox support

Firefox build submitted to Mozilla Add-ons for review. The Firefox version includes local file verification, page scanning, C2PA report inspection and test-signing workflows adapted to Firefox.

  • PDF signing

Sign PDFs locally with your test or imported identity (JPEG/PNG signing unchanged).

  • Smoother verify & sign UI

Clearer status, trust summaries, and resume of your selected file after picking on Firefox.

  • Downloads on Firefox

Signed files download correctly with blob-based downloads.

  • Updated C2PA trust lists

    Refreshed signing and TSA anchors.

V0.1.2

Website update

Website, trust and workflow clarity

This update focuses on website positioning, trust language, demo documentation and workflow clarity for teams evaluating ProvSeal.

  • New Security & Trust page

Centralized explanation of local-first processing, C2PA statuses, permissions and trust boundaries.

  • Trust status labels

Consistent wording for Trusted, Signed but untrusted, Invalid and No credentials across the website.

  • Local-first positioning

Refined copy to clarify that verification and signing are designed to run locally, without uploading files to a ProvSeal backend.

  • Structured docs

Updated docs, limitations, demo, privacy and legal pages for clearer evaluation workflows.
